my friends and i went out last weekend. the premise was to get strangers that we met through the night to wish you a happy birthday. so ye, all the people are just nice aussie folk, apart from the last few who are obviously my mates.

New poster to go with the new griptape... not sure if this is finished.

Tape Designs

I've decided on some final griptape designs. These have been inspired by 80's metal typography and Native American designs and patterns. I've been trying to come to some sort of compromise with my designs, and I think this is the solution. I'm a bit limited by the program I'm using to cut the griptape, so I've been trying to come up with a design solution that is a bit simpler, but still interesting and original. Both design elements cater to rising trends in skateboarding and youth culture in general, and have a subtle underlying theme of "the youth taking back what belongs to them"- a strive for independence in a time where everything seems to have been decided for them.

More on that later.
